  • Coming out of the wardrobe

A great podcast! Nick asks ALL the right questions and has a no-nonsense approach to the topics. But…Think it’s time to come out of the wardrobe or wherever it’s recorded.

  • Thanks for the clear headed analysis…

I’m surrounded by well meaning, but naive liberals. It’s such a relief to hear from someone with journalistic experience and perspective to call things out for what they are…

  • Great podcast

No, not one of the best, the best.

Still the best of all the political podcasts

One of the best political journalists in the UK, excellent choice of guests too.

Somebody needs to sort out either his microphone or microphone technique though.

  • Consistently Terrific

If you like Nicks writing then you’ll definitely enjoy this, subscribe and you won’t miss an episode, in fact even though many episodes are topical, most are about issues so fundamental that it’s worth going back and listening to previous episodes in the channel, Ann Applebaum in this week and as good as ever

Trump won't give up power
Q: What would you say Britain should do with Trump and how should European countries handle him?
The guests describe preparing for a world where America may not be as reliable a ally, suggesting a European reassessment of security and trade relationships, focusing on European-centric structures and diversifying away from sole dependence on the U.S. while recognizing the ongoing complexity of Trump's influence.
A united Ireland is on the way

The Tories were driven by a fear that Irish self-governance could lead to a loss of control, viewed through the lens of imperial ambitions.
The love Labour's lost!
Q: What will it take for the Labour Party to unify and establish a coherent political direction?
The Labour Party needs to listen to various factions and establish a coherent political economy that combines successful ideas from the left, engaging the public with a clear purpose and vision for governance.
The love Labour's lost!
Q: Why is it so hard to build a coherent left-wing theory of power in Britain?
There's a broader problem in global politics, where traditional political structures are collapsing and have left a vacuum which populism is exploiting, making it difficult for the Labour Party to establish a strong left-wing theory of power.
Trump's madness threatens us all
Q: What's the situation with Trump's nuclear capabilities, and why is it concerning?
Trump could unilaterally launch nuclear weapons without needing permission, raising fears about control and decision-making under pressure.
