  • One of my favorite Christmas podcasts

Jeff does a great job researching older and newer Christmas and holiday season traditions from around the world. This podcast is where I first learned of Rauhnacht and the Yule Goat, among other winter solstice -related traditions not so well known in the US.

For Jeff- if you ever revisit the colors episode, please consider the relationship of gold and silver to the holidays! AlsoI would like to learn more about bells and their relation to Christmas.

  • There is Nothing Like It!

This podcast is like the chronicled history of Christmas, and even non-Christmas, with all of its colorful fables, lore and legends. It can be complicated, head-scratching, and bizarre, but it is always fascinating. You can’t turn it off, nor do you want to! I am always eagerly waiting for the next cool global Christmas character, who probably deserves his or her own feature film or series!
