  • Health benefits of being outside

Loved the recent podcast regarding the scientific benefits of being outside. I always knew that prioritizing “outside time” was so beneficial to my overall physical and mental health but it’s really nice to know that science backs that up. Some friends and family think my daily walks are a waste of my precious hours but I’ve been walking daily for about 20 years and I have no intention of stopping. I’ll point them to your podcast the next time someone tries to discourage me. Great job Cam!

Q: What practical advice do you give for someone training for a 100-mile race?
Focus on mental strategies like taking strategic naps, fueling well at aid stations, and maintaining a positive mindset; separate yourself from perfectionism and run your own race, adjusting pace to feel good and eating when you feel fatigued.
