After listening to "mastermind" Chris DeLuca's podcast, I understood why I stopped watching David Letterman, after staying up late every night from age eleven until it turned toxic towards women in the 1990's.
Update: This podcast would be better if the host talked more … said no one ever. Questions shouldn’t be preceded by a monologue. Let the guests talk without constantly interrupting and stop trying to convince everyone you’re an insider. The host talks too much, interrupts too much and gushes too much. But Tom Dreesen was great in spite of it all. The host must get paid by the word, because why else would he never shut up. Update 2: The host continues to be insufferable by asking ridiculously lon... more
As a teen, I taped Late Night with David Letterman with my tape recorder regularly. I still have the tapes 40 years later.
I was interested in hearing this podcast, but the host just kills the show. I’m not tuning in to hear him speak every week. Does he think the listeners are? The constant gushing is nauseating. I get it. You love Dave, but hearing it over and over repeatedly is a turn off. The guests should be the focus - not you.
I really wanted to like this, but Mike Chisholm is n... more
I am not writing a Review. I'm just writing a Request. A long time ago David had Ms. Tracey on his first show in NYC. And his last show when he left his talk show, he welcomed her back as his final guest. I am sending my Thanks to Mr. Letterman for being a nice man and showing pride of her and her talent. He seemed more like a friend instead of a 'tv personality' or talk show host. That is my Review. My Request is to see Dave bring her to his Podcast now.
Thank you, CaThY
