  • Great resource

I love this podcast as a resource for advancing learning and development expertise however I do find the presenter too opinionated and quite negative and I can lose interest quickly during the sharing of these opinions. Saying that, I still listen as I love the topics and expertise of the guests that appear on the podcast!

  • Highly recommend a listen!!!

This is a great podcast that takes L&D solutions to the next level. It’s not about just delivering training sessions, it’s about solving real business issues with strategic L&D. By far the best podcast I have listened to on the topic. The host and guests provide case studies and applied advice for leaders and L&D professionals.

The Frontline Enablement Playbook: Bridging the Gap for the World’s Most Essential Workforce with JD Dillon
Q: What role does data play in informing frontline strategies, as discussed in the book?
Data is used to prove training impact and, more importantly, to reprioritize work; it helps identify what people actually know and can do, revealing whether the barrier is knowledge or something else, and guiding where to focus resources.
The Frontline Enablement Playbook: Bridging the Gap for the World’s Most Essential Workforce with JD Dillon
Q: Why should L&D care about frontline workers, and what makes this book relevant to them?
The book reframes frontline enablement around minutes of support and on‑the‑job accessibility rather than traditional training programs, highlighting that time is the biggest obstacle and that practical, contextual enablement can drive both performance and business outcomes.
The Frontline Enablement Playbook: Bridging the Gap for the World’s Most Essential Workforce with JD Dillon
Q: JD, how did Disney shape your perception of frontline working for good and maybe bad?
JD describes how Disney taught him the power of connection and storytelling, shifting focus from pure SOPs to creating a sense of community and belonging that motivates frontline teams. He explains that successful frontline work comes from relationships, identity, and shared purpose rather than just processes.
Beyond Content: Rebuilding L&D Around The Transformation Triangle with Egle Vinauskaite
Q: How should L&D leaders approach the drag factors when trying to transform?
Leadership should assess structural, cultural, and capability drags, recognize the predisposing conditions that steer their direction, and pursue realistic, incremental value while building credibility through demonstrated impact rather than just changing ownership or budgets.
Beyond Content: Rebuilding L&D Around The Transformation Triangle with Egle Vinauskaite
Q: What is the Transformation Triangle and what does it move L&D beyond?
It is a framework that helps L&D move beyond simply producing content by organizing around three configurations—Skills Authority, Enablement Partner, and Adaptation Engine—and by focusing on how to enable performance and collaboration across the organization rather than just content delivery.
