I always love Olusaga’s historical interests and perspectives but I find his delivery (here and on tv) is just too dry and monotone for me. He must be a very chill man, but I struggle with him as a presenter. I get bored and my mind drifts off. Which is a real pity!
Great content though. I will give it another try and see if I change my review.
Overly editorialized schoolboy history.
Absolutely loved the “Fire of London “ episodes, delightfully explained with my favourite reference to start and finish points Pie & Pudding
Keep up the great content
I love this podcast. I think the presenters make a really great team. Both of them are excellent. Good stuff!
interesting content which ought to grip but my brain switches off. I see that many people blame Sarah Churchwell exclusively. I’m not sure. Certainly the interaction and rate of switching between the two presenters doesn’t work for me. The interaction dominates the content, which can happen even with two presenters whom I like individually. I need the presenters to be so fascinated by the content they forget about presenting themselves to each other and draw me in
