The AI revolution has begun – the product of a seventy-year quest by scientists, mathematicians, and visionaries who set out to build machines that could think. But what began as a fringe idea has now become one of the most powerful forces of the 21st century. This is the story of that journey: its rivalries, its competing visions of utopia and apocalypse, and the race to build what may be humanit... more

Audio of a real execution is played during every episode in the form of an advertisement for one of the show’s sponsors. I think that’s enough information about the judgement and ethics of the creators of this show to decide not to trust them to talk to me about anything ever. It’s sick. And clearly so is their sponsor.

You lost me w the interview w MacAskill in ep 1. This is not a “scout”—he is SBF’s mentor, in fact the person who encouraged SBF to go into finance. Why would I trust this person?
You completely lost all credibility when you platformed a hate monger and criminal like Steve Bannon. Ezra Klein doesn’t help much, either.
I swear I tried to listen, but it was impossible.. Steve Bannon?!? This is a good podcast, but you’ve overestimated your listener’s tolerance for this hateful, divisive man.. Of ALL of the AI experts to tap as a guest, you chose Bannon?! Read the room.. Do better. I’m unsubscribing, and I suspect others will as well.. Learn from this and be more deliberate next time. You’re an AI podcast, not a political mouthpiece, and sorry, not sorry, Bannon is inseparable from his polarizing, hateful pol... more
The fact that they platformed Bannon after he we’ve known how close this dude was to Epstein, and was in fact actually working on a documentary to try to rehab Epstein’s image when he was Epstein was arrested in 2019 is not recoverable IMO
