  • Weird Guys

Typically the show is okay. Not a ton of actual analysis, but moreso two Lakers bros chatting while giggling to their own inside jokes. The last episode was pretty ridiculous. A an embarrassing Rob Pelinka d1ck stroking fest while generalizing the entire Lakers fan base as impatient, dumb, and young. These dudes are like 30 year old…ranting about how young and immature the fanbase is, while simultaneously being incapable of portraying an honest reflection of the front office. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 686: Everything They Did "Wrong". (The Lakers' Summer Loose Ends, Mailbag Q&A, Early NTMLE Free Agent Targets)
Q: Does the height/long wingspan approach mitigate concerns about frontcourt size with Kaminga and other adds?
The host argues that the Lakers rely on length and motor, with long wingspans across several players, and that a rebound-by-committee approach plus athletic forwards should compensate for traditional height gaps, though it remains to be seen how well they rebound and defend as a unit.
Ep. 641: Tinsel Trade Machine (What is the Lakers' Version of the Mavs' PJ Washington & Daniel Gafford Trade)
Q: What would be the realistic Lakers version of a PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford trade for the Lakers this season, assuming they include a first-round pick?
The host proposes multiple wing-heavy combos, with two athletic perimeter players who can defend, such as Quentin Grimes and Kelly Oubre, or Ayo Desunmu and Isaac Okoro, or a three-team route with players like Zaire Williams, Terrence Mann, and Dayron Sharp, aiming to shore up defense, athleticism, and spacing rather than a single big.
Ep. 629: A Night with The Magician (Luka Doncic Drops 49 points | Lakers Demoralize the Timberwolves)
Q: How was it watching Austin Reeves? Why couldn't the Wolves stop him?
Austin played decisively and aggressively after a shaky start, driving to the basket and affecting the game significantly.
Ep. 625: Reddick For More? (BREAKING: Lakers Sign JJ Redick to a New Extension | Biggest Takeaways from Pelinka & JJ's Presser | Darkhorse Trade Partner Teams to Monitor)
Q: How are the Lakers looking health-wise heading into the training camp?
Rob Pelinka confirmed that there are no big lingering injuries, and everyone appears to be healthy.
Ep. 622: Kawhi-et a Long Offseason... (ft. Omar Siddiqi of 'Rings & Things' | Luka's EuroBasket Dominance, The Kawhi + Clipper Fiasco, & What Needs to Happen for LAL to be a True Championship Contender)
Q: What are your thoughts on Luka Doncic in Eurobasket?
Luka shows improved endurance and is actively engaged defensively, which bodes well for his upcoming season with the Lakers.
