  • Appreciate locked-on but the hosts..

I don’t mean this as a shot against the hosts (brothers) but personally I don’t enjoy their commentary and constant negativity. I listen to a lot of locked on podcasts and this is easily one of the worst. This is reflected in the listener numbers, and engagement online. Should be replaced with new hosts.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Who Should the Lakers Select With the 25th Pick in Tuesday's NBA Draft?
Q: Could a rookie at 25 realistically play meaningful rotation minutes this season for a team aiming for the playoffs?
Yes, it's realistic for a rookie to contribute 8-15 minutes a game, especially if they bring an immediate, tangible skill or fit a specific need. The discussion emphasized situational roles and the value of veteran-adjacent development paths rather than forcing heavy minutes right away.
Who Should the Lakers Select With the 25th Pick in Tuesday's NBA Draft?
Q: Broadly, what kind of draft are we looking at here? How much talent do you think will be available to the Lakers, regardless of position, all the way back at 25?
There are a lot of interesting seniors and a deep reserve of guys who can contribute in a rotation, with many players likely to settle into roles rather than high upside bets. The range of outcomes is broad, but there are enough solid, NBA-ready players who can fill a role early.
More Draft Talk: Should the Lakers Target Best Fit, or Best Talent? Plus, Sleepers and Front office Issues.
Q: Do you think the Lakers should draft for need or the best player available?
The consensus is that while talent matters, there is significant value in targeting players who fit immediate needs without sacrificing long-term upside, especially given how roster construction and minutes will be managed.
Scouting Report: Cameron Carr... Did the Lakers Get a Steal With the 24th Pick?
Q: What kind of player is Cam Carr and what role might he fill for the Lakers in his rookie year?
He's seen as a multi-positional wing with length and shooting touch, potentially thriving as a transition scorer and defender, but may need to bulk up and adjust to a more structured half-court role.
What Does the Ideal Lakers Offseason Look Like? Guest, Raj Chipalu!
Q: What did Raj Chipalu think was the most realistic pathway for upgrading the Lakers this offseason?
Raj emphasized prioritizing wing and center upgrades through cost-controlled options, exploring realistic multi-team trades, and leveraging draft assets to preserve cap flexibility while solidifying core positions.
