  • Appreciate locked-on but the hosts..

I don’t mean this as a shot against the hosts (brothers) but personally I don’t enjoy their commentary and constant negativity. I listen to a lot of locked on podcasts and this is easily one of the worst. This is reflected in the listener numbers, and engagement online. Should be replaced with new hosts.

  • Keeping me informed

I have been a Lakers fan since 1968. In 1989 I moved out of state. Found this show a little over a year ago. It’s a great show! Helps me follow and keeps informed about the Lakers. Have found the two host to be a fun listen. They have extensive knowledge of the game and the Lakers. Thank you for putting out a great show.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Can the Lakers Slow Durant? Are the Rockets Vulnerable, Mentally? Plus, a Luka Update!
Q: Who's keeping you up at night for the Lakers besides LeBron?
Rui Hachimura becomes a key swing player; if he can contribute consistently, he unlocks additional offense during LeBron's off-minutes and helps balance the floor against Houston's wings.
Can the Lakers Slow Durant? Are the Rockets Vulnerable, Mentally? Plus, a Luka Update!
Q: Jaxson, where do you see, given what we're looking at here with the Lakers, obviously no Luka, obviously no AR. Yes, LeBron has played quite well. Where do you see potential vulnerabilities that the Lakers, as they're constructed right now, might be able to poke at?
Without Luka and AR, the Lakers could hide some defensive gaps by dialing up pressure, but Houston's improved ball movement and off-ball cutting could still create looks. The Rockets will try to maximize their offensive rebounding and push pace to create extra possessions, while LeBron will be the primary focal point for the Lakers' defense, with Rui Hachimura potentially stepping up when LeBron rests.
Luka Vs. Shai, Lakers Vs. Thunder: Previewing Powerhouse Matchup Thursday in OKC
Q: What makes this Lakers-Thunder matchup a meaningful test for both teams?
It serves as a playoff-style clash that could reveal how well the Lakers can maintain momentum against a top Western Conference team, while showing OKC's ability to contend with elite offenses and how players like Luka and Shai handle high-physicality environments.
What Trades Can the Lakers Make at the Deadline? Is Improvement Possible?
Q: Would you trade Dalton Connect?
Yes, I would trade Dalton Connect in a second round pick for Keon Ellis.
Is LeBron James Dropping Clues About Retirement? Plus, Do the Lakers Have a Title Path?
Q: What are your bold predictions for the Lakers this season?
Brian predicts that Luka Doncic will win MVP if the Lakers have a successful season overall, while Andy highlights the team's emphasis on playing good basketball rather than solely focusing on championships.
