Anthony welcomes Cranjis back into The Lounge to break down JJ Redick's second season.
The Lakers need JJ Redick to continue growing on the job. Did he do enough of that in his second year?
The funny thing about that whole experience, according to Cranjis? He mostly agreed with what JJ said about organized offense! The guys talk about that, those processes that go into charting that information and how to balance organized offense with ... more
Anthony gives his thoughts on that historic comeback from the Knicks over the Spurs and the role Victor Wembanyama's offensive limits played in San Antonio's late struggles. From there, he discusses a rumor circulating in The Bay that apparently, LeB... more

What’s the difference between picking a player at the end of second round vs signing them as free agents at the end of the draft?
Lowe said on his pod that FO execs around the league have declined Lakers assistant GM interviews because they’re wary of being tied to Pelinka. How can they compete with Boston & OKCs FOs if Pelinka is lacking/has major flaws and is radioactive? Walter has to see this as a giant problem/red flag, right?
Anthony—I don’t normally submit two of these in a week, but I just read Edwin Garcia’s article that Austin is expected to get a $40M contract. If that happens, write off the Lakers’ championship chances for the next 5 years. He is not a #2 on a championship team; he’s a good player, but has clear defensive deficiencies, is not a good catch-and-shoot 3-point shooter, and has been, at best, uneven in playoffs. If you invest #2 money in a #3 or #4 player, you’re dead in the water. What do you t... more
Appreciate your work and respect for your growth as a journalist. What do you think about a De’Aaron Fox for Austin Reaves sign-and-trade? Shooting downgrade but major defensive and athleticism upgrade. Not in love w/ Fox’s contract but think I’d rather pay him that kind of money opposed to Reaves. Thoughts?
Thank you as always for the great content. Very much admit to recency bias influencing this opinion but I feel the Lakers have to make an honest play at bringing LeBron back. He adapted when the team needed him to adapt and just carried the team to a playoff win. If he shows a desire to come back, Lakers need to sit down, explain their vision to make this team a serious contender and offer LeBron a contract that isn’t offensive but leaves room to execute that vision. One, you get LeBron back and... more

A sharp, opinionated Lakers-focused show that often weighs blockbuster rosters and ownership-driven modernization against building depth and value contracts. Frequent discussions center on pursuing star power (notably Giannis) versus depth, the influence of cross-franchise ownership models (Dodgers-style) on front-office decisions, and the evolving use of analytics in a big-market environment. The hosts also tackle realignment chatter, trade mechanics, and the broader economics of assembling a championship roster, with guests and mailbag questions adding perspective on fan sentiment, media narratives, and franchise identity. A standout is the willingness to explore high-variance scenarios, bold ownership-driven strategies, and cross-sport c... more
