  • Love the show but your politics bleed through.

Great show, great analysis. They often say they don’t want to get into politics but they still manage to bring in their own political beliefs despite saying they don’t want to.

  • Better

70 years old. Used to watch every minute of showtime, but now less so. I seem to learn more and enjoy listening to your breakdown and takes even when it comes to the 10th episode on the draft and free agency. You have helped me become more int’d in the Lakers again.

  • Pete’s theory has been proven correct

Pete was right when he mused that Pelinka and Jeannie sabotaged Lebron’s chances to pass Kobe in rings. AD was begging for a physical center to beat Denver for years and suddenly they get Kessler. The other signings show a level of team building we haven’t seen since the summer of 2019. Maybe Pelinka’s job was on the line this time, so he acted like a competent GM. Assuming Redick stop using that horrible switching defense, this new roster has a puncher’s chance to win a title. gLFR is the best... more

  • Rui or Austin?

How about neither, u guys don’t have to pretend that those two are winning players. Cmon. Neither play defense, neither are athletic enough, neither are team leaders… how bout neither of them back next year, time to build a team of DAWGS. Tired of these one dimensional, over paid players

  • Lakers go up 2-0! Props to JJ Redick

LFR is the best in-depth analysis you will find on the NBA. Like our spiritual Godfather, Chick Hearn, Pete and Darius always tell it like it is, regardless of how the team does. The one thing you guys didn’t mention was JJ’s coaching adjustment in Game 2. The Lakers started to tap contested rebounds away for the basket if there was any doubt they could control the ball. I saw both Kennard and Ayton do it. Besides the obvious advantage of teammates grabbing more of these rebounds, the adjustmen... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

25-26 Year in Review: JJ Redick
Q: How did you perceive the day-to-day realities impacting the coaching approach this season?
The hosts argue that managing the day-to-day realities—injuries, availability, and evolving player roles—was the core of Redick's effectiveness, requiring constant adjustment rather than sticking rigidly to a fixed plan.
Luka's Defense
Q: What are some of the best ways of managing Luka's blow-by percentage on defense?
There are various defensive schemes, including trapping and funneling drivers inside, particularly when Luka is targeted. Adjustments in the personnel can help manage those situations.
Good Vibes & Great Expectations
Q: What would be the best lineup to throw out against elite switching teams like OKC and Golden State?
To beat switching groups, the right combination may include leveraging Deandre Ayton's ability to punish defenses on the offensive glass and utilizing players like LeBron and Luka against mismatched defenders.
Good Vibes & Great Expectations
Q: What do you contribute to the vibes seeming to be so good on this team?
The right mix of players, shared belief in their goals, and youthfulness contribute significantly to the good vibes surrounding the team.
When LeBron Returns
Q: How do you envision it going as smoothly as it could?
Jason responded by discussing the importance of both Luka and Austin continuing their strong play, and how LeBron will need to fit around that.
