  • Training while pregnant episode

I find this podcast so helpful as I’m preparing for my first pregnancy, however I was disappointed by today’s episode about training during pregnancy. The coach being interviewed was not a professional in anything and could not give sound evidence or facts about the safety of exercise while pregnant. The information was basically: ‘do what you feel like doing’ and ‘you should ask your obstetrician’. I like this podcast due to the accurate and current medical information, but I feel like today’s ... more

  • Best balance of information

I started listening right after falling pregnant. This is my second pregnancy but my first was 16 years ago and not only am I older but now a type 1 diabetic. I wanted to learn as much as possible. In 2 weeks I’ve listened to nearly every episode. I love how Dr Pat sounds so genuine and kind whilst also providing factual information. Brigid’s wonderful voice bring together the episodes with her real life experience and focus on woman’s health and wellbeing make it all the better!

I felt like there was so much talk around my situation not being ideal and “not what we want” and being so high risk etc. without any positives, that I started to feel upset about my news and anxious. It may turn a corner at the end of the episode but I didn’t s... more
