You know it's one thing when one person is insufferably unself-aware, but it is so much worse when it's an entire family. The mom calling her middle class aspirations of sending her kids to private school and an annual vacay "embarrassing", the daughter not knowing what mom meant by "we were all form no content" (heads up Liz: she means you all are shallow!) and that was the only moment that came close to the shame these folks ought to have had for thinking anyone ought to care enough to listen ... more
The first episode is intriguing. It never ties back in to the story. I agree with the poor reviews.
There seems to be a lot of information left out during the “era” of her father marrying Mary. I was at the wedding for I used to work for Mary as her personal assistant for 4 years. I knew Bob very well through Mary. She is a fantastic person. She was portrayed very poorly. The side of their relationship was very different than the way Liz portrayed it.
