  • Respectfully, change

Been listening to this pod since 2013, the tfm podcast days. I didn’t mind when it began skewing to a more female demographic because the content was still hilarious and the format worked. It’s just kind of unbearable now. Go back to weekly guest driven participation and listener emails. Bring back a classic shelb or Mansamp type producer. Miss old train, this current iteration is a step back. Said with love because I really do want to enjoy what Jared is doing.

  • More rifs, less burping, slurping, gulping, and re-reads PLEASE

I’m a fan of the pod overall but it’s obvious that Jared is not investing into these shows the way he used and the way that he does in Uup. I have recommended to friends and they always complain about the lack of editing. I’d love to hear more fun talk and less slurping, burping, gulping, and re-reading. Please drink your coffee and scan your emails/stories BEFORE the pod. Your whole “I want to read it with you” is just you being lazy. Cmon. It’s like the crowd work of podcasting. • Audio issues

There are audio issues with the final product maybe during editing audio… I thought I was crazy and closed all windows on my phone, thinking that may have interfered with the main audio tracks, however random kinda foreboding weird sounds seem mixed into the audio….

Maybe it’s sound feedback, or another program on while audio editing or something else. Listen to the latest episode especially during the end of it, you will see what I mean.

I enjoy listening to this show! Just the random inter... more

The Internet Is Mad We Don’t Have Kids! ft Jim Tews - CHIT CHAT WEDNESDAY
Q: Are you ready?
Sure, ready to dive into the game and conversation.
Am I Expecting too Much from My Maid of Honor? - MAILBAG MONDAY
Q: What should I do about a dog-kissing partner who kisses the dog and then tries to kiss me?
Set a boundary calmly and humorously, explain you love the dog but need to be considered as well, and propose delegating certain dances or duties to others to reduce pressure on the person who cannot meet those commitments.
Am I Expecting too Much from My Maid of Honor? - MAILBAG MONDAY
Q: Did you have a destination bachelorette party as part of the wedding plan?
If there is a destination bachelorette, you should consider whether the added cost and planning are worth the shared experience, and ensure participants understand they may be contributing financially and logistically, adjusting expectations accordingly.
Am I Expecting too Much from My Maid of Honor? - MAILBAG MONDAY
Q: I want to know if I'm expecting too much from my maid of honor at my destination wedding.
The host explains that destination weddings are inherently costly and should be approached with clear expectations; if someone cannot meet those expectations due to personal constraints (like anxiety or finances), it's better to reframe roles and communicate boundaries, possibly asking others to help with tasks rather than pushing one person to do everything.
I Found Out My Boyfriend Is Married! Do I Tell The Wife? - MONDAY MAILBAG
Q: What should the listener do about telling the wife, given the danger and gaslighting involved?
The host advises against immediately contacting the wife due to safety concerns and instead recommends confiding in trusted friends/family, evaluating the risk, and considering boundaries. If information is shared, it should be done cautiously and with emphasis on personal safety; the host emphasizes that telling the wife is not guaranteed to help and could escalate danger.
