This week’s episode isn’t coming out so much as escaping! Through tech errors and spiritual erosion we still bring you the kind of inside info you can’t get anywhere else. For example, were you aware that there is an Olympics specifically for people ... more
This week on the show, the ladies, Jackie (@jackiekashian) and Laurie (@anylaurie16), discuss the unique trend of a long string of Lisas working in comedy club management nationwide. Mind. Blown. They observe the phenomenon of the “wheels guy”, the k... more
This week, the show is almost undone by an Alexa! But the podcast prevails, and as a reward, we learn Laurie's (@anylaurie16) bunions have returned with a vengeance! She's been self-consciously wearing some off-brand Crocs to ease her pain. Jackie (@... more

I just found this show a few weeks ago and really love it.
It’s such an insiders guide to comedy, comedians, how the job is for comedians, what it’s like to work as a comedian, and very inside baseball kind of thing.
It’s on par with being in a green room listening to everyone talk about the gig.
As a musician I love nothing more than talking shop with peers and friends who do music. This, is like that. And I love it!
It’s insighful and delightful.
I have only one point that I’d like to make reg... more
Friendship, laughter- delightful! I hope to see you two perform live someday! Love how you always recognize new comedians!

Two veteran stand-up comedians discuss life on the road, the economics of indie comedy, and the evolving landscape for women in the industry. Episodes mix travel tales, touring logistics, merch and clip culture, and blunt takes on the business of being a professional comic, all delivered with long-running rapport and sharp, candid banter. A standout is the duo's consistent emphasis on independence from corporate sponsors and community-building through their network, which often includes listener-supported initiatives and cross-promotions. The format centers on shared experiences rather than guests, making it a reliable source of practical insights for fellow comedians, venue bookers, and fans of in-the-weeds industry conversations.
