  • I'm using this podcast as an intervention

A friend of mine is a very talented joke writer who hopes to become a famous and wealthy standup, but only hones his jokes, never his sets, which he insists be fully spontaneous.

Ten years later he still performs at open mics.

I've decided to do anything I can to introduce my friend to episodes of this podcast to convince him how much more work successful comics have to put it than he's ever done to prepare his own sets.

It's so good, it's not only like therapy; it's interventionworthy.
