  • Veering off

I’ve been listening to 100.9 FM based out of Midland for the better part of 5 years, of which Huge has a show. But of recent the majority of content when I tune in has been about Ferris State University. Today it was about some guy and the AI program there 🤔. Don’t really care to hear about that on a sports program, at all. Not sure if he is compensated in some capacity by the school? And what is with all the political leanings that are espoused throughout as well? It’s a sports radio station… ... more

  • Too many “hot takes”, not enough true insight

Huge has decent guests on his show, but he doesn’t bring much to the table himself. He throws out a lot of hot takes - opinions from left field with no factual support. If you want real insight on Michigan-based sports, listen to 96.1 The Ticket on your ride to work in the morning, not your ride home in the afternoon.

  • Excellent show

Been listening to Bill, aka Huge, for as long as I can remember. His guests on the show for the Detroit pro teams and colleges throughout Michigan are amazing from UM, MSU, Central, Western, Ferris, Hope etc. Keep up the good work Bill!

  • Political hack

This guy just refuses to cover sports. It’s his political opinions every hour. Would love show if he just covered sports.

  • Bad

Host’s voice is obnoxious, as are his takes on many things. Plenty of other sports talk shows with more bearable hosts.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Huge Show - March 2nd - 3pm Hour
Q: What was the strategic rationale behind the Montgomery trade?
Risdon frames it as reallocating money to pay for key players like Gibbs and Branch while using a fourth-round pick and depth pieces to bolster the line and overall roster.
The Huge Show - Lions Interview - Jeff Risdon 03-02-26
Q: What are the immediate implications of the Montgomery trade for the Lions' backfield and cap space?
Risdon explains that Montgomery's move frees cap space for investing in the speed back and Jameer Gibbs, while acknowledging the need to find a reliable RB2 and to adjust the offense away from a pound-and-ground approach toward a faster, speed-based system.
The Huge Show - Lions Interview - Jeff Risdon 03-02-26
Q: Give me a couple of names that could be Detroit Lions come draft weekend in Pittsburgh.
Risdon highlights players like TJ Parker as a rising edge option for the Lions and discusses other tackles in consideration, suggesting the team could look for value at the edge and interior line positions in the draft.
The Huge Show - MSU Interview - Graham Couch 03-02-26
Q: What defines MSU's identity when the three-ball is falling?
When MSU shoots well, they rely on three-point shooting to open up driving lanes, but the overall identity combines aggressive defense, rebounding, and stable point guard play to maximize those shooting chances.
The Huge Show - MSU Interview - Tim Staudt 03-02-26
Q: Based on the way they played out Purdue and at Indiana, are you thinking Izzo and the Boys are sweet 16, elite eight, final four? What's your take on them based on what you witnessed the last two wins?
Tim responds that Michigan State is a team that will always be tough to beat in March, emphasizing their depth, willingness to compete, and the likelihood that they can perform well enough to advance depending on how they shoot and handle pressure, while noting the path will depend on matchups and execution.
