  • The Ris

This show has maintained honesty and integrity. He provides data and expertise in his takes then breaks it down in that detail. He’s the guy you’d be happy to sit and talk to about the Lions anywhere over a beer. He brings in guests and doesn’t mind disagreeing because he appreciates a different view and is willing to discuss it and ask questions. His guests are knowledgeable and he comes at the topic from all angles. This is the best Lions podcast.

  • You CAN handle the truth!!

...and that is what these guys provide. Riz, Chris, Michael Gray...what sports (and all) journalism should be. Not both-side-ism, but a genuine take backed up by facts and personal observation.

Emory highlights Lucky Jackson as a veteran presence with a long track record, Tarik Black as a big-bodied outside receiver who can win on the sticks, and Tay Martin as someone who finds soft spots and can extend plays after the catch, suggesting potential depth and special-teams roles rather than immediate day-one starters.
Daily DLP: Talking Lions Injuries, Timelines With Dr. Liao - Detroit Lions Podcast
Q: What is the latest assessment of Kerby Joseph's knee injury?
The medical analyst suggests cartilage damage as the most definitive descriptor available publicly, with ongoing uncertainty and a likelihood that full clarity won't emerge until training camp, influencing decisions about practice time and ramp-up.

Daily DLP: Talking Otas, Lions Schemes With Scott Bischoff - Detroit Lions Podcast
Q: What do you think Drew Petzing might do with this offense given OTAs and no pads?
There could be a balance between using 12/13 personnel and keeping flexibility to exploit coverages, with potential more dynamic involvement from Isaac Tesla and the receiving corps depending on how the system is implemented.
Daily DLP: Talking Lions extensions, windows and more with Ben Solak Detroit Lions Podcast
Q: Can the Lions win a Super Bowl with Jared Goff?
Yes, the Lions have shown they can contend with a quarterback like Goff when the supporting cast—especially the offensive line and play-calling—plays to his strengths, and when the team capitalizes on the right windows and personnel decisions.
