  • GOOOOO LIONS!!!

Love the POD Podcast! I’m an out of state fan in Oklahoma, so listening to the crew talk ball about my favorite team helps me feel connected to the fan base! Was legitimately sad when they had their hiatus a while back due to the contract situation, and I’m grateful they are still here ready to cover the 2027 Super Bowl Champs! Detroit vs. Everybody!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

1-on-1 Conversation with Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown
Q: What have you learned about yourself as a leader and where do you think you've grown in that area?
Leadership isn't just about personal performance; it's about helping teammates develop and taking on responsibilities to bring along younger players, balancing vocal leadership with leading by example, and creating a locker-room culture that feels like a close-knit group even while the team competes as professionals.
1-on-1 Conversation with Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown
Q: What are some of the things you have been working on this offseason that people probably won't notice until week one kicks off?
I stick with a consistent offseason routine: track work, receiver training, and lifting, aiming to stay healthy after last year's knee surgery, so I can participate in OTAs and be ready for training camp. The focus is on staying sharp and healthy to be ready for week one.
PODcast: LIVE from Detroit Lions Training Camp
Q: Wow. Honored. Can we start with the promotion, the recently announced promotion? Has anything particularly changed with your role?
Rob Lohman explains that the promotion will grow his role over the season, expanding from day-to-day roster management to bigger-picture items like the recovery agency, roster construction projects, and working more with football administration staff.
PODcast: Detroit Lions Winners, Losers from 1st Preseason Game
Q: What stood out most from the offensive line play, and how might that affect the starting unit going forward?
The group showed good early cohesion, especially on the right side with Blake Miller and Tate Ratledge not yet fully integrated, which could lead to some adjustments as Ratledge gets more practice reps. While there were mental mistakes and penalties, the overall pass protection and run blocking were encouraging enough to keep the expectation for improved chemistry high as practice reps increase.
Lions Midweek Mailbag: How Will Detroit Navigate the Latest Injury News?
Q: On Twitter says, what do you think about Isaac Tesla as an X factor for the Lions this season?
11 personnel can get a lot done; Tesla could be a silent difference maker by creating mismatches and keeping defensive personnel spread.
