I became a Detroit lions fan roughly ten years ago after my dad stopped watching the NFL. My grandfather is a packers fan and he introduced to me to football. I got to watch many packers lions games and rooting against him was so fun and Mathew Stanford was my childhood hero. Once I started rooting for my own team, this podcast was everything. I learned so much about the Lions and the fan base surrounding it. This podcast gets me through long work days, car rides, and everything else. Thank you ... more
When I first found this podcast, I was skeptical since there were no regular beat writers on it. Usually these sorts of podcasts are amateurish and filled with hot takes. But I quickly found that the hosts really know their stuff and are serious about the content. They try hard to be fair, which is unusual for a non-beat writers podcast. But unlike beat writers, these guys freely admit to being fans. So when the Lions win or lose, they understand what we’re feeling and share our excitement or o... more
This is easily the best Lions podcast out there. The production is great, and I love the balanced dynamic between the hosts. They provide excellent info and a positive outlook that I really value, they are also quite funny! Being a boy mom in a house full of fans, I’m the only female but definitely the biggest Lions supporter of the bunch. This show helps me keep up with all the details so I can stay one step ahead of my boys!
I’ve been listening to this podcast since the Dan Campbell hire, and this year it went from great to ELITE with the addition of Meko “First and Foremost” Scott. There is no rage bait or click bait, just straight to the point information and the latest news on my favorite team, sometimes breaking news happens during recording and it’s always funny to watch them pivot their conversations to account for this. My favorite show is the Midweek Mailbag, featuring the most knowledgeable mind covering th... more
I love the Detroit Lions since wearing my
Billy Sims jersey as a kid. My fandom has been rekindled in the Dan Campbell era and I wanted a podcast to keep my up-to-date on all of the team’s transactions and provide analysis on and off the field. I love both the weekly episodes with Meko, Ryan, and Jeremy and the mailbox sessions with Jeremy and Erik. The guys are knowledgeable and passionate, clearly fans but not afraid to be skeptical or critical, and get me up to speed without endless blathe... more
