  • Never talks down.

This is the only “medical” show I listen to. Easy to listen to and learn from. Outside of pleading for us to drink coffee and use Lucky Dog Hot sauce, I have yet to hear Dr Kaveh shill anything. I have learned three things that I should maybe bring up to my OB/gyn and therapist to see if that might be something that could help me. I only feel MORE comfortable with the quality of care I receive from my providers thanks to this show.

  • Emergency Iran Episode

As a white millennial American, I’m sorry to say it took far too long for me to begin to understand America’s role in destabilizing the Eastern world. Our attack on Iran has reminded me I still have much to learn. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness with which the hosts engaged with the nuances of the Iranian/Iranian-American perspective. Thank you!

  • Listening for awhile - recommend this show constantly

I’ve been listening to this show for awhile and I am constantly sharing episodes that I think friends and family would find a lot of value in and the EMDR episode is why I’m finally leaving a review. I cannot thank you enough for one putting out really good medical information that is accessible but to putting out an episode about EMDR. I’ve been through EMDR for my PTSD and this episode felt so validating in a way that I can’t really express without crying. Good crying. I know that PTSD never r... more

ACIP is the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices; they rigorously review data to make recommendations on vaccines, but in practice their decisions have been halted or overridden by other branches, creating confusion and uncertainty about what is officially recommended.
Introducing: The Present Illness
Q: What should we focus on to avoid getting overwhelmed by propaganda?
Seek information directly from diverse Iranian sources when possible, avoid relying solely on official state media, and support efforts to provide internet access so dissident voices can be heard.
