How To Support A Loved One With Addiction
Q: What did recovery look like for you, and how can families support the process without overstepping?
Recovery can be gradual and is aided by family involvement, boundaries, education, and access to rehab; Donna illustrates a staged path from rehab to degrees and professional work, emphasizing that families should learn to set boundaries and seek professional help.
How To Support A Loved One With Addiction
Q: What are the main reasons people become addicts, and how do early experiences shape this path?
Donna explains that addiction often starts from early attachment and trauma patterns, with neurodiversity like ADHD playing a role; it's not always about big traumas but about how the brain learns to cope and self-soothe.
Chem Sex Parties & Gay Pain w/ Fruit Fly Author Josh Silver
