  • New format needs to go

The new format of smaller interviews which are then repeated in the longer version needs to go. You can’t listen back to back with out having to skip over the shorter episodes. Really tricky if you’re listening whilst run/riding.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Pauline Hanson's pitch in SA, Iranian footballers leave + IV drip therapy
Q: Does IV drip therapy actually work for healthy individuals, and how does it differ from medically supervised infusions?
For most healthy people there is no solid evidence that vitamin IV drips boost energy or slow aging; they are often unregulated and can be unsafe, with most benefits possibly just from hydration and placebo effects. In clinical settings, infusions are carefully monitored with appropriate testing, which is not common in wellness clinics offering these drips.
Unmasking Banksy, teen pregnancy + what to disclose on a job application
Q: Do you think this is a question a lot of people have grappled with for years, particularly journalists, whether or not to unmask Banksy? And was it a hard decision for your team to decide in the end to publish this story?
Gardner explains the decision was driven by the public interest in understanding how pseudonymity functions as a brand and the broader cultural impact, while balancing privacy concerns and the risk of potential harm, ultimately asserting they weighed evidence and privacy considerations.
THE SHAKEUP: boomer trillionaires, Iran players + Chalamet v ballet
Q: How did you feel watching all of this play out with Iran's women's football team? Do you think our government did enough?
Dom Giannini provides context on asylum pressures, government actions, and the international stakes, emphasizing careful balancing of safety, diplomacy, and humanitarian considerations.
Australia's fuel crisis + how Vikkstar built a YouTube empire
Q: At the most intense time, how much were you putting into creating content?
He explains he was juggling three channels and up to five or six videos a day, working around 16 hours daily on production, editing, and outreach, with bursts of collaboration that kept the momentum going.
Australia's fuel crisis + how Vikkstar built a YouTube empire
Q: Vikk, this is a big question to launch off with, but how does it feel to be part of one of the biggest, most successful YouTube channels in the world?
Vikk describes it as surreal and not something they set out to do; it grew organically into a large, resource-rich operation with a strong community, while still feeling like a community with the audience that has followed their content for years.
