  • Are you kidding me?

The fact that you guys even debated who is the greatest penguin Mario or Sydney is a joke! Talk about recency bias. You lost credibility just even having this discussion. “ I sort of lean towards Lemieux“ Get real! I genuinely question if they subconsciously have an anti-French, anti-Quebec bias!

  • Volume Levels Need Worm

I’ve been listening to this podcast for three or four years now and it just keeps getting worse. Rapidfire is horrible and stupid. The sound quality has not improved over many years. You never know when it’s coming out and when it does, it’s often outdated. It’s actually embarrassing that the most prestigious NHL publication in the world put something out that is this poor.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Should Larkin Remain Red Wings Captain If He Stays For Next Season?
Q: Should Dylan Larkin remain the captain if he stays with Detroit?
The consensus is that he should not retain the C if he stays and wants out, as leadership credibility would be compromised and it would put the team in a difficult position; removing the C would preserve authority and signal a fresh leadership direction.
What Is Jason Robertson's End Goal?
Q: What do you think is Jason Robertson's end game and how does this play out either with Dallas or through a potential deal elsewhere?
The panel suggests Robertson's end game could involve arbitration or a trade, depending on how Dallas and Robertson navigate the negotiations and what offers surface from other teams; the outcome remains uncertain and highly contingent on perceived value versus cap realities.
Was John Tortorella's Coach's Challenge A Bad Mistake?
Q: What do we think? Was it a goal or a no goal? Then what are your thoughts on the choice to challenge it?
The ruling was no goal due to goalie interference amid a crowded pile; the hosts discuss how the challenge gave Carolina a power play and riding momentum, with mixed views on whether Tortorella should have challenged.
What's Going On With The Golden Knights And Avalanche?
Q: Can Colorado rebound given their injuries and the absence of McCarr?
Augello notes that while Colorado has depth, the absence of their top defenseman and the mounting injuries make a comeback series unlikely, though a single win could extend the series.
What's Going On With The Golden Knights And Avalanche?
Q: Starting on Vegas and what they did well, how did they pull this off?
Traikos emphasizes the blend of depth scoring and a steady defensive framework, with key contributions from two-way players and improved goaltending supporting Vegas's comeback drive.
