  • New hosts the good & the bad

I’ve been a loyal listener to the show since around episode 80. As much as I miss Frank on the show I really do like both Marek & Rupper. They each bring different things to the table from Mikes playing days insight and Mareks experience in the media world. Jason has always been alright. A little bit too serious but he’s alright keep up the good work Jason. I enjoy the Gregor/Rupp Friday show a little more only because Gregor/Marek both being longtime hosts tends to clash with both attempting to... more

  • One of the best

Jason and now Jeff make this a great show to listen to. If you think otherwise you need some warm milk.

  • Missing Frank

This WAS the best hockey podcast going with Frank/Gregor. Their banter back and forth made this a must listed to pod every week. Really miss not having Frank part of the dfo group. The change on Mondays to Marek has been a complete fail. Marek goes on for 6-7 min about random gibberish while Gregor just sits back and waits for him to finally stop yapping about nothing. It’s just not good radio and exact opposite of what this pod used to be. Fridays with Rupp are much better and he’s been a gre... more

  • Frank ?

Marek is great for long form shows (like The Sheet) but gosh, every time he joins Jason here I groan. Rupp has been great. But.. Frank ? Where’d he go ?

  • Get rid of Jeff Marek

Jeff Marek is ruining your podcast with all these old irrelevant stories nobody cares about. And It drives me insane when he constantly interrupts everyone. Love the show otherwise but I ain’t listening to any episodes with Marek. Bring back Frank.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Pressure Cooker Weekend: Teams are Fighting for Playoff Survival
Q: First question for you guys. You've talked about player teams that are on the bubble right now, but if you had to pick one team currently outside of the playoff picture, who are you putting your money on, Gregs?
Ottawa or the Kings were top picks; Ottawa due to structure and Allmark's form, and the Kings due to schedule and head-to-head leverage against teams they're chasing.
Wild Card Chaos & Caufield Chasing MacKinnon for the Rocket
Q: What is Montreal's realistic chance to reach the Eastern Conference Final given the current landscape?
The hosts suggest a cautious 20-33% range depending on opponent matchups, with caveats about needing to beat strong teams in rounds one and two, and the impact of possible Tampa Bay series dynamics.
Bowness Sparks Blue Jackets in Chaotic Eastern Playoff Race
Q: What percent chance would you give Cole Caulfield reaching 50 goals this season with 14 games left?
Jason and Patrick assess it as challenging but possible, estimating around 20% for this season and about 60% for next season given his progression and continued development.
Insider Edition: NY Islanders GM Mathieu Darche discusses Schaefer, Horvat, & more
Q: How important is social media for fan engagement within the organization?
It's crucial for promoting our players and bringing fans into the building.
Insider Edition: NY Islanders GM Mathieu Darche discusses Schaefer, Horvat, & more
Q: Can you give us an update on Bo's status and his recovery?
He's skated a few times and is expected to return before the Olympics.
