  • Not what he used to be!

Used to love Marek, but his frequent guests, particularly Wyshynski, are unlistenable, he’s horrible.

His last show is actually better without him.

  • I like Greg.

I’ll listen when Greg is there, that’s it. Not much else to say. Jeff-isms can really annoy me. Too many things retold. Too many repetitive things to listen to the show consistently.

  • Fighting!

The subject of fighting in the game came up

last pod and I want to throw out my 2 cents.

I am 56 yrs old so I grew up on the 70’s and 80’s Hockey that had lots of 3 hour games and lots of fights. Growing up in St Louis I invented new curse words for the likes of Al Secord and Willi Plett and I loved every second of it. That era had rivalries because of the physicality and yes the fights.

Why did the NHL get after the 4 Nations tournament last year? The fights in the first Canada-USA game were ... more

The tempo has surged, officials are scrutinized more, and teams are learning to rely on depth and discipline while adjusting for post-whistle situations. Coaching staffs like Carolina's are leveraging speed and structured forechecking to maximize their edges, while others must address goaltending and defensive depth.

Q: How does Nick Deloria influence the dynamics on and off the ice?
Walker highlights Deloria's role as a deterrent and leader who can manage a tense moment and help keep the team focused on its game plan.
On the Sheet: Sean Walker of the Carolina Hurricanes
Q: What was going through your mind on the big hit on Ridley Greig?
Walker explains he saw the puck coming and would consider making the hit again, acknowledging the physical nature of playoff hockey and the need to respond to energy after a previous incident.
On the Sheet: Sean Walker of the Carolina Hurricanes
Q: First impressions of the playoff atmosphere and the physicality of the series against Ottawa.
Walker notes the series was exactly as advertised: physical, intense, and demanding, but also rewarding as the team matched and exceeded Ottawa's energy in key moments.
