  • Great Podcast! Not so much discord.

Been following this pod for a long time (4years) and have been a fly on the wall for a lot of discord drama. A bunch of people kinda get pushed out while the original group kinda pushes the conversations.

Super awesome that the guests are interactive. The mailbags are so cool! But the way people talk about other members in the different group is kind of sad. Always jumping on certain people. Mostly new. I don’t participate just kinda watch because I enjoy the mailbags. Every pod says to join th... more

Goalies In Round 2, The Opponents They're Going Up Against, and Their Biggest Challenges
Q: What influenced the decision to rotate the goalie in the Wild-Colorado matchup after game one?
The decision was framed as a mix of fatigue management, the need for a reset, and the chance to catch lightning in a bottle by testing Gustafson in a back-to-back scenario, with the goalie coach and staff weighing proximity to altitude and the long playoff grind.

Q: If this was a draft, what would be your first pick if you could only watch one series?
The host and guest leaned toward Dallas–Minnesota as a top pick, citing the balance of high-level play and intriguing strategic development as the series to watch first.
Spencer Carbery on This Year’s Compressed Schedule, Developing Young Players, and Things a Coach Can Control
Q: Did you have any conversations in the offseason about shooting percentage and how to balance creating high-danger chances with the reality that you might not lead the league in shooting again?
Yes, there was ongoing consideration of maintaining high-danger opportunities while recognizing that shooting variance exists; the focus remained on creating quality chances and sustaining expected goals rather than chasing a static shooting percentage.

Coaching Change Adjustments, Video Reviews, and Coyotes Stories
Q: How does video review work during the season?
Video review has become crucial for teams due to limited practice times, often replacing on-ice practice with video analysis of performances.
