Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 30 - Sandwiches of History (Barry)
Q: Where did you grow up?
I was born in Columbus, Ohio, did six years there, then six years in Virginia Beach, but most of my time was spent in San Diego, California.
Episode 30 - Sandwiches of History (Barry)
Q: How did you get into all this, into all these different channels and all these different food shows? What started all that?
In the Chips is the first thing that started it. I was leading reviews for chips from around the world, and then a friend encouraged me to start a vlog, which eventually transitioned to social media platforms for better engagement.
Episode 29 - Sean Whalen
Q: What is a song that makes you emotional?
Another Old Lang Syne always hits my gut because it's about the pain of the one that got away, which resonates deeply with me.
Episode 29 - Sean Whalen
Q: What about what is a song from a live concert that stands out to you?
It has to be my first concert I ever went to was Rick James. He took a joint and said he didn't care if he was banned for smoking during his performance.
Episode 28 - Chris Dalla Riva
Q: Tell me a little bit about that, about kind of that idea, why you think that is important to study the history of actual number one songs and hit songs.
Chris explains how his book tracks the history of number one hits and emphasizes their cultural discussion value.
