The chemistry between these two ladies is really like being with friends even if you’re cleaning the house alone, lol. Great topics, not too much with what you should do, these ladies give you space to think. So glad I found this podcast!
My last son left 7 weeks ago for Basic Training states away! I was a wreck dealing with the empty nest and no communication with my son for 8 weeks! We could write letters and received 2 minute phone calls a few times. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to do this stage and your show has been such a blessing to me! I turned to this podcast as a soon to be empty nester. While the content is very valuable, it can sometimes feel a bit alienating to those of us in “non-traditional”households. Not every mom has a partner and not every household is religious or Christian.
I was so excited to find this podcast as I’m getting ready to send my only child off to college and struggling. Was loving the premuse and direction it was going until the Jesus talk started. I am so grateful that I came across this podcast! I have listened to the episode on grief several times, taken voracious notes and shared it with others. I really appreciate that these two ladies are bringing their unique perspectives from different seasons of life, one with high school kids still at home and the other with her kids already grown. We are in that same boat in a large blended family, experiencing kids launching in different ways (bio kids vs bonus kids) and them getting married, ... more
