There are gems littered throughout these interviews that give you a new way to think about how decisions are really made. And because these are actual decision makers - not just talking heads - they offer rare, actionable insights that go beyond the latest headlines. Sam has been there himself, so knows how to get to the crux of things - five star podcast, five star insights.
I very much like Sam’s interview style where guests are posed open questions and allowed to talk and properly develop their ideas without the constant interruption that characterizes many podcast interviews. Looking forward to series two.
Sam and his guests do a good job of reminding us of the context and bigger pieces of the puzzle. When the risk is the daily news flow dominates. The episode with Paul Ryan was a particularly helpful reminder that the U.S. still has statesmen able to think strategically and with nuance. Let’s hope they win out!
Host Sam Gyimah has great rapport with his guests obtaining superb insights from their personal journeys navigating the complexities and broader forces shaping the globe now and into the future.
Really enjoyed the first couple of episodes of this podcast, excellent guests already. It’s refreshing to find a podcast that brings together global politics and business in this way - plenty on one or the other but this one makes you think.
