I loved this Golden gates update. This podcast is like no other, it’s informative, entertaining as well as very creative. I hope the writers are listening. They could learn a thing or two.
I don’t think they’re doing a dementia storyline. I think they’re doing a caregiver burnout story line which is a unique perspective that very few people have. I need the impaler story to come to a close, I am tired lol
This is my go-to podcast to decompress and reflect on the previous week’s episodes of Beyond the Gates. The commentary/analysis is varied and thorough. I look forward to episode drops as part of my overall fandom of this show.
This was another great episode - kudos to everyone. Jonathon, I really appreciated your perspective on muting X feeds and just enjoying the show. I recently did the same, and honestly, I’m enjoying it so much more.
I never paid much attention to social media or soap fandom until BTG. I was excited to find a community to experience the show with and jumped in last year, but that turned out to be a mistake. I’ve since gone back to simply watching the show and, of course, listening to Gatekeepers.... more
I love the podcast, however this one was way too long. Also I don’t mind some explicit language, this one was just too much of that in my opinion and took away from the usually intelligent conversation. Please decrease the explicit language. Some of us like to listen to this podcast as we drive and we do drive with minors in our cars at times.
Thanks. I normally would give this otherwise great podcast 5 stars. But only 3 for this weeks due to the two reasons stated.

A roundtable-focused show that dissects a CBS daytime drama week by week, balancing sharp analysis with fan-informed banter. Regular hosts break down casting changes, production news, crossovers, and ongoing love triangles, while tracking character arcs, representation, and pacing. Episodes frequently spotlight behind-the-scenes dynamics, audience reactions, and how storylines evolve through twists, with a community-driven vibe that leans into spoiler-aware discussions and playful debates. A notable strength is the mix of long-form discussion, guest perspectives from the TV/soap world, and a steady emphasis on current arcs and their broader cultural resonance.
