  • Can’t wait for season 2!

2025 Update: A podcast that even the ads are enjoyable?! That’s right. This podcast is packed full of tips, resources, admonishments, encouragements - you will grow as a parent and your family will grow in Christ-likeness through the topics discussed on this podcast.

Binged this podcast after I found it around Christmas (I was searching for different perspectives on how to do “Santa” in our home). Anxiously waiting for season 2 to drop! Such wisdom shared in each podcast episode.

  • So thankful for FDP!

I’m a long-time listener and frequent recommender of this podcast. I always walk away encouraged with helpful ideas to consider for the discipleship of my own family. I was recently so blessed by the Mother’s Day interview as I need reminders of the freedom we have in Christ and the blessing that children are as I prepare for the arrival of my third baby. Thank you Adam, Chelsea, and Cassie for your ministry!

  • Calling me forward!

My wife & I love this podcast. More than anything, just hearing the personal examples from the lives of the hosts and guests really just calls us forward in our walks with Christ and our desire to love/lead our family well! So grateful!

With that, kind of a random question, but… when will guys be putting out a curriculum or work book for some of these things? I’d love to see y’all (with your infinite free time) create a resource similar to the Deep Discipleship Program but for parents/spouses!!... more

  • So good!!!

I have loved this podcast for a while now, but this season on marriage has been particularly helpful. I feel like the topics are so common to marriages, but not what is commonly talked about. It’s given language for things that we’ve needed to discuss. Thank you so much for all the wisdom you’ve shared!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#132 — Navigating Sports with Brian Smith and Ed Uszynski
Q: What opportunities do parents have post-game to talk to their kids?
Post-game discussions should focus first on support and connection rather than critique, allowing space for the child to feel loved before discussing performance or attitudes.
#132 — Navigating Sports with Brian Smith and Ed Uszynski
Q: Is it okay for parents to want to win? What role does winning play?
Yes, it's okay to want to win, but it becomes an issue when winning is idolized. We need to teach our children that while winning is part of the game, it's not the ultimate goal in sports or life.
#132 — Navigating Sports with Brian Smith and Ed Uszynski
Q: How can parents use sports to disciple their kids?
Sports provide a front row seat to observe children's emotions and behaviors, allowing parents ample opportunities to teach virtue and moral lessons beyond just performance.
#132 — Navigating Sports with Brian Smith and Ed Uszynski
Q: What led to you guys writing the book?
We just realized we needed help for parents trying to be Christian while navigating youth sports, as there wasn't much support or resources available to merge the sports and spiritual aspects of the parenting experience.
#130 — In the Linne Home with Shai Linne
Q: How do you see this creating an opportunity for parents to have conversations with their kids regarding prejudice and valuing people?
Ethnic diversity is embedded into God's grand redemptive purposes, and it's important for parents to impart this to their kids.
