I just recently discovered Expert Table Tennis and I find that I’m learning about a variety of topics beyond table tennis. I’ve started a habit of listening to the show while I’m preparing dinner and I look forward to it each evening. There’s a lot more to this program than just the surface topic. For example, learning the difference between a tactic and a strategy (this also applies to chess by the way); how to set and overcome goals; diverse perspectives ranging from athletes to coaches to spo... more
This is an awesome podcast, that I think will defiantly help me improve! I am a kid (under 18), and loved the first episode! Defiantly answered my questions about what I should be going for! This is a great guide!
I started playing TT again after many years and for the first time in a local league. There’s always something interesting out of each interview and also some of the tips are of great help, whichever your level. Well done Ben, I hope your podcast keeps growing. Please do one with Adam Bobrow.
Access to a large range great advice / top tips from a wide variety of player / coaches. Excellent source of table tennis training & match play information with interesting back stories from the expert guests 👍.
Excellent content, hopefully more interviews to come. thank you for your handwork
This is one of a kind for table tennis enthusiasts, excellent guests and quality audio production.
I've been listening to old episodes for a few weeks now and have really taken some really great tips from the show. It's really helped me develop a broad picture of all the skills I need to develop to get better at table tennis. I love to hear about the different methods of training from different players. I would have never thought of some things on my own like strategy and tactics, doing physical training to improve my game, or even how to mentally approach matches in order to focus on winn... more
Just happened onto this podcast as I am getting back into TT after hiatus...
Great interviews w/ many luminaries and lots of great pragmatic tips for intermediate level players like myself. Hope it can go back to weekly or bi-weekly! Please , Ben...think about it!
Ben’s interview-based podcasts are not so much about specific technique, but generally about individual stories of player development, with helpful advice and opinions mixed in.
I think they represent a different and interesting body of work, a natural extension of some of the ideas behind the Expert in a Year Challenge.
Like the title the podcast is a good TT podcast! Good job Ben!
How great is it to have a table tennis podcast? I'm very much a beginner and it is very interesting to hear interviews with some of the best. I'm excited to see how this podcast develops. It could become THE source for table tennis.
Really enjoyed the Paul Drinkhall podcast - I liked the way that Ben introduced it and a good wrap-up after the interview. Quality interview with some great insights into the sport. Already looking forward to the next one!
Enjoying the podcast so far. The China visit by Table Tennis Daily was interesting. I just started this sport in earnest 3 months ago with weekly lessons. I hope future casts will include tips for folks like me who enjoy the game as a hobby, but would like to improve. For example I would like to know how I can exercise (or practice) my legs so they move me around the table faster. It seems I know where I should go, but my legs stay behind. Don’t tell me it’s because I am older. Keep up ... more
I've been waiting for a god table tennis podcast and expert table tennis is even better than I could have hoped
Ben's podcast is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their game or wants to learn more about the sport.
