  • Excellent show

This podcast has a way of getting you to start reframing your thinking about being in an unhealthy or abusive relationship. Allison uses the concept of "subconscious reprogramming" to begin to shift patterns and it is powerful! She also has a really kind way of letting you know you aren't to blame, no matter where you happen to be in the course of the relationship (still in, freshly out, out for a while). Her podcast is a lifeline of reassurance, encouragement and support.

  • Feeling seen and validated

Understanding the unusual signs of emotional abuse validated me feeling the way I did during an almost 30 year friendship where abused occurred. I didn’t have words at the time. But now Allison has given me those words to describe it and helped me realized I made the best decision to get out of that friendship. ❤️❤️❤️

  • Perfect Timing

I was so thankful I came across this podcast today! Everything she explained in “Why you should be angry” was everything I was feeling and going through last night, lots of triggers and unanswered anger. I had all the feels and taking it out on my daughter when deep down I know it’s not her, it’s having to co-parent with her dad. It’s so hard to explain to others who have never experienced emotional abuse! Thank you Allison for being authentic and putting yourself out there to help others!
