  • Good for keeping up with audio and video tech trends

Good podcast for keeping up with the latest audio and video gear and industry trends. They seem to favor the higher end stuff like million dollar home theaters and $100K speakers, but do also feature more affordable real world gear. Particularly good at explaining all the audio and video tech and buzzwords. Keep it up, guys!

Perfect Sound Forever: Why Aren’t We There Yet? w/ Rob Watts
Q: Why do you believe reconstruction accuracy beyond 16 bits is necessary?
Because the tiniest timing errors in reconstruction can alter perceived depth, timbre, and spatial localization, and over-sampling to create many more samples (e.g., 2,048 extra samples) allows preserving the original transient timing with much greater fidelity.
