This is Audio Unleashed: the world’s only totally unfiltered, freewheeling, fearless discussion about the latest events in the world of audio, featuring veteran audio reviewers Brent Butterworth and Dennis Burger. With decades of experience, a modest grasp of science and logic, and a marginal degree of financial security, they can tell the good from the bad, and the proven from the preposterous — ... more

I unabashedly love this podcast. The savage way Brent and Dennis mow down snake oil audiophile charlatans using their greatest enemy —logic— is spectacular. Their disdain for a certain guy named Ted and his blue LED illuminated garbage brings me exquisite joy, on par with that experienced while consuming an A5 Wagyu steak or feeling superior to people who don’t return their shopping carts. I’m in suspense every time I’m about to hear the word “unleashed” deployed in yet another creative and exci... more
This is my favorite audiophile podcast. The host are genuinely entertaining to listen to, no matter what the topic. I do wish they would do interviews; the ones they have done are very good.
Brent doesn’t let Dennis talk and he mentions that he is a jazz musician at least 2 times per show. Otherwise this is an entertaining podcast.
I’m a proud supporter on Patreon. I enjoyed Brent and Dennis’s show on the Soundstage Network. I’m actually happy they are independent, now. They are interested in talking about “cool” equipment, but also debunk hifi snake oil. They don’t fall into trap of believing press releases by hifi manufactures who promise “inner detail.” They ackowledge the appeal of audio jewelry, but don’t pretend that audio quality is proportional to retail price. Please keep up the good work.
