Great Show - Only now realizing I met Bill Voss at Audio Advice Live in Raleigh, NC where he was sharing some of his many LPs with the attendees. He turned me on to Percussion Persuasiva from late 1959. Great album to introduce you to stereophonics. Thanks Bill! Look forward to meeting again. Technics makes some great equipment.

  • Missing Dennis & Brent

I was sorry to hear that Dennis and Brent would be leaving the podcast. The earlier episodes were nice blends of appreciating audio equipment, while casting a skeptical eye towards marketing of audiophilia. As with other audiophile podcasts, the podcast is now more about allowing audio companies to market their equipment and for Soundstage to maintain access to those companies. I was disappointed that the new host didn't ask the owner of Wilson Audio about the controvery behind their Loke su... more

  • Season 1: Five Stars. Season 2: a lot less.

Season one was great. But unfortunately this show took a massive hit when Brent and Dennis handed it off. Not just in terms of the level of knowledge and experience that’s clearly missing now, but the sound production and editorial standards too. Bummer.

  • Company men

These guys clearly don’t do their research.

In their mofi episode they essentially report that mofi never made any misrepresentation of their product and instead let reviewers perpetuate some myth about their product.

The mofi records in question were called “one step” records and clearly claimed to be directly from the analog source (hence the one step moniker). It turns out many were not directly from the analog source and had a digital step in the middle.

    It was false advertising.
