  • What’s with the giggling?

I love the Digiday content. Depending on my circumstances, I am subscribed or not. But when I listen to the podcast, while the content is right up my street, I find the banter and giggling most annoying. The current episode on Meta Superintelligence, NYT Amazon deal was one I was keen to listen to but gave up after 10 mins.

Have been a big fan of this podcast for a long time but finding the new hosts don't have the same insight and sparkle as Brian Morrissey. Needs a tune up to maintain its greatness.

How much control should AI have over media buying?
Q: What determines the guardrails that you guys have around the agents?
Guardrails are client‑specific, built around each enterprise client's security, privacy, and regulatory needs; governance must be customized per industry and risk profile, with future emphasis on enterprise‑level infrastructure and client‑specific guardrails.
Inside’s Stagwell’s AI media curation marketplace
Q: With Stagwell Curate, is this the default or even the only inventory source for clients or is it an option?
Clients have access to a wide pool of inventory across multiple partners; the platform aggregates and, when needed, the supply team will source items that aren't already in the system, ensuring traders can find what they need.
The anatomy of a sports marketing deal with Ally CMO Andrea Brimmer
Q: If you could rebuild Ally's strategy in 2026, what would you do differently?
We would push for longer-term deals upfront, lean more into emerging media platforms, and trust gut instincts about prioritizing non-traditional channels even when data isn't perfect, to accelerate fan engagement and strategic partnerships.
The anatomy of a sports marketing deal with Ally CMO Andrea Brimmer
Q: What are the first things Ally looks at when evaluating a new sports deal?
We start with values alignment, then assess the fan base composition to ensure it fits our target, followed by evaluating the partner's willingness to do disruptive, creative work rather than just a logo placement, and finally the growth potential and fair value of the opportunity.
How automation and AI are rewriting the upfront marketplace
Q: Are there concrete pilots showing AI agents' effectiveness in live negotiations?
Yes, there have been pilots (e.g., NBC Universal tests during NFL playoff games) demonstrating premium automation and AI-driven decision-making, though broader adoption is still developing and requires guardrails and context.
