  • Interrupted

“I’ll let you answer after I finish interrupting you.” First and last time listening to this podcast. The host Peter Hamby asked his guest a question then proceeded to interrupt his reply 5 times in 10 seconds. Very irritating. If you’re a know-it-all Peter Hamby, own it, don’t invite guests.

Sometimes I feel that they’re too smart to be as gullible as they around Bari Weiss. I can’t think of anything she’s done that they’d give her the benefit of the doubt headed into CBS. Also did they see the Erika Kirk interview? She was tossed softball after softball. Can’t believe they said she was “grilled.”

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The People v. Netflix
Q: How might this NIL dispute between Cincinnati and Sorsby affect the concept of pay-for-play in college sports?
If liquidated damages are upheld as a real punishment for transferring, it could redefine NIL deals as pay-for-play contracts rather than purely compensation for likeness, raising questions about compensation, employment status, and unionization.
The People v. Netflix
Q: What is different about the latest lawsuits against tech platforms like Netflix according to Paxton's case?
They focus on the architecture and design of the platforms—how they hook users and collect data—rather than the content itself, which could create a new line of legal attack beyond traditional First Amendment or Section 230 defenses.
French Hill on the Senate Crypto Stalemate
Q: Is there consensus on the handling of a central bank digital currency in FISA and related housing provisions?
There is a clear opposition to a government-issued CBDC; the conversation centers around constitutional and oversight considerations and avoiding overreach.
French Hill on the Senate Crypto Stalemate
Q: Do you think the president wants this passed on his desk by July 4th?
The Congressman suggests it is possible but acknowledges the timeline is uncertain, citing years-long work since 2018 on a digital assets framework.
Publisher Search & Destroy
Q: What will be good about this shift to agentic search for users?
Agentic search can deliver personalized, proactive assistance, plan tasks, and perform actions on behalf of users, making information access more seamless and convenient, which could significantly improve everyday efficiency.
