Ep. 113: How he makes $140k+ writing about video games ft. Stephen Totilo
Q: What is your relationship with your audience and how do you ensure you don't mislead them?
I prioritize clarity and transparency, avoid sensationalism, and treat readers like real people with a stake in accurate information; feedback comes through comments, emails, and social channels, and I adjust based on reader value rather than hype.
Ep. 113: How he makes $140k+ writing about video games ft. Stephen Totilo
Q: Can you clarify how you see the difference between criticism and reporting?
Reporting seeks external truth and verifiable facts, while criticism focuses on how a work affects the creator's interpretation; the best reporting can involve informed analysis that might overlap with critique, but the emphasis is on facts and sourcing.
Ep. 109: How LinkedIn Groups and Newsletters Power an Online Education Business
Q: Why did you move away from the ISA pricing model?
Because some participants tried to exploit it, and the founder wanted to ensure pricing aligned with the true value and mission, while providing clear, upfront understanding of costs and post-graduation support.
Ep. 109: How LinkedIn Groups and Newsletters Power an Online Education Business
Q: What is in the accelerator that leads to graduates landing jobs?
The program combines experiential learning with live campaigns, mentorship from senior marketers, portfolio building, and targeted job search strategies, plus a focus on personal branding to help students stand out.
Ep. 108: The creator economy doesn't exist ft. Nathan Graber-Lipperman
Q: What makes an event successful in building community?
Success comes from focusing on in-person experiences, clear planning, tangible outcomes, and ongoing engagement that turns attendees into repeat participants who contribute to the ecosystem.
