  • Logic and clarity in nutrition!

Happy to have found this pod - EC is articulate and offers loads of factual information. The interview format is effective and efficient! Don’t expect to hear long preambles and chit chat. They jump right in and tackle topics from cancer to bananas. All they are missing is a theme song by that guy from Islands.

Q: What are your thoughts on adiposity set points?

Five Minute Answers: Weight Loss Set Points, GLP-1 Success, & Caffeine Limits
Q: Do I need to keep eating past fullness to hit my 800 grams?
There's no need to stand in front of the fridge at 9 p.m. eating a basket of strawberries in the name of the 800 gram challenge. It's more about habit change and not about eating to the point of discomfort.
Five Minute Answers: Weight Loss Set Points, GLP-1 Success, & Caffeine Limits
Q: What do you think about the new study that is saying that, if you consume too many carbonated beverages, this may increase your stroke risk by 22%?
The study did not differentiate between sugar-free and sugar beverages, and this creates limitations in associating carbonated beverage consumption to stroke risk.
The Freedom Paradox: How Fewer Food Choices Makes Nutrition Easier
Q: Is it a worthwhile distinction to make between food and a meal?
Yes, meals provide structure and fullness which helps prevent mindless snacking, supporting better eating habits.
The Freedom Paradox: How Fewer Food Choices Makes Nutrition Easier
Q: Can you explain a little bit more, maybe in practical terms, what you mean when you say consistently good versus inconsistently perfect?
It ultimately comes down to hitting more days with healthy choices than before and recognizing that not every day will be perfect.
