  • The most reasonable voice in politics

I never miss Chuck’s podcast. Gives an inside view of what is really discussed behind the scenes among both liberals and conservatives. Some say he’s a centrist - he calls himself an incrementalist. I appreciate he is always digging for the truth.

  • Love this podcast

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Though I don’t always agree with everything Chuck says, I appreciate his reasoning behind it. And I appreciate he doesn’t expect us to agree with everything the says. In fact, he invites conversations with people he may not agree with. There are a lot of ads, as others mentioned, but those don’t bother me because I skip them. I learn something new every episode which helps in my conversations about the world. Thanks Chuck!

  • Please get some new ads

Like many have already said, too many of the same commercials every 20 minutes of Chuck. Been listening to Cindy Crawford complain about how people give her bad compliments for a year now.

  • Cassidy

Cassidy might be your friendly acquaintance but he irreparably ruined the health of this country and the world by confirming Kennedy. That is an unforgivable offense.

Full Episode - Trump’s Iran Deal Is Worse Than The Deal He Tore Up + A Marine Sniper’s Message on Service, Sacrifice, and Country
Q: What drew you to write about leadership in the military, and how does your experience shape the lessons in Dark Horse?
Pasciuti explains that leadership is learned through late-career reflection and mentorship, emphasizing teamwork, responsibility, and turning personal experience into transferable lessons for future leaders.
Full Episode - Why The Sun Belt Could Realign American Politics + Imagining the Worst to Prevent It From Happening
Q: What is the core idea behind using fiction to teach about real-world politics and security?
Imaging worst-case futures helps identify failure points and informs strategies to avoid them, turning fiction into a cautionary tool for policy and national security planning.
Chuck’s Commentary - Trump Can’t Defend His Bad Economy + Democrats Have Lost Their “Reformer” Image
Q: How do you balance staying true to core Democratic values with appealing to swing voters in a polarized environment?
The approach emphasizes incrementalism on some issues while not diluting core commitments; leader tone should appeal to the middle without sacrificing essential principles, and reforms should be framed as improving representation rather than capitulating to opposition demands.
Chuck’s Commentary - Democrats Wasted Political Capital In Virginia…For Nothing + Why SCOTUS Is Forced To Do The Job Of Congress
Q: Hilmar Mahaldy asks if Trump could maintain influence through charismatic authority even after leaving office.
The host suggests that a Trump faction could endure if allied with a figure sharing his name and if they maintain a base willing to follow post-presidency leadership, but overall remains skeptical about long-term dominance without sustained charisma or organizational power.
Chuck’s Commentary - Democrats Wasted Political Capital In Virginia…For Nothing + Why SCOTUS Is Forced To Do The Job Of Congress
Q: Bob S. asks how much to worry about voter suppression or legal challenges and whether electoral outcomes will reflect turnout.
The host cautions against fear-mongering, emphasizes that the system remains complex but generally resilient, and stresses focusing on concrete conditions and realistic possibilities rather than worst-case scenarios.
