The horse population dropped with the more efficient and productive steam and gasoline engines. Horses had fewer jobs.

Chuck Todd has some good insights, and I would enjoy the podcast except for the ridiculous number of ads. At the very start of each episode, there is an ad pre-roll that is at least 4 minutes long, followed by frequent ad break interruptions during the rest of the show. The ads are also always the same.
His podcast is very long. It’s nice that he breaks it up into pieces, if you want to just hear his commentary or the interviews, but he spams your feed with the full version, the interviews, hi... more
