  • A skeptic won over

I never listened to Chris Cuomo when he was on TV, and only heard about him after he was defenestrated. But that may have been for the better, because his commentary is among the most balanced I’ve seen out there. I don’t ingest much political content, but when I do, Chris is at the top of the list of sources.

  • Everything you hate about the economy

This is one of Chris’ better shows because he takes his ideas down to the studs and builds back up using facts about past programs that have hurt the working class and essentially rigged the economy. He is also becoming clearer about the negative impact maga and trump have on the country.

  • Fiery!

Just listened to the MTG episode. Loved it. I tend to lean to the right but am not a Trump supporter. This podcast is very balanced.

  • Feedback

Evidence that you are providing a public service is found in my tendency to either strongly or passionately disagree with your position on any number of subjects. That said your recent podcast about the consumer price index was value added. Thank you.

Trump Picked The Wrong Fight With Canada
Q: What's the core economic opportunity you see for North America as it relates to Canada and the US?
The core opportunity is aligning policy with practical, kitchen-table economics—lower energy and input costs, stable tariffs, and cooperative energy and resource strategies that support small business and middle-class families, while leveraging Canada's resource base to keep American industry competitive.
Brian Tyler Cohen Explains What Democrats Must Do Next
Q: How should Democrats message their agenda to avoid being branded as extreme?
They should emphasize practical, popular policies that address everyday problems, avoid overreaching goals, and focus on delivering tangible improvements that appeal to a broad electorate.
Brian Tyler Cohen Explains What Democrats Must Do Next
Q: What role do institutions like the filibuster play in shaping policy outcomes?
The guest argues that institutions can be a barrier, but they should not prevent delivering for people; some reform is necessary, while recognizing the complexities of constitutional rules.
Brian Tyler Cohen Explains What Democrats Must Do Next
Q: Why is timing so important in using federal power, and how should Democrats approach governance?
Timing matters because power comes and goes; the idea is to act decisively when in control to demonstrate results, rather than playing procedural games that delay progress.
Brian Tyler Cohen Explains What Democrats Must Do Next
Q: What motivated you to write The Day After and discuss wielding power in a post-Trump world?
The guest explains that there will be a time Democrats can regain control and that having this debate now helps prepare for delivering on climate, health care, and voting rights when power is available, rather than waiting and reacting later.
