  • unlistenable

Between the rambling, mouth clicks and smacking of the host, and the Darth Vader level nose breathing on the microphones, this is simply horrible to listen to. Could be good content (certain guests) but the horrible sounds are too much.

  • Very insightful

    Stumbled across this podcast.

Amazing insight into the world of competitive shooting and what these athletes go through to prepare and compete.

I am not a competitive shooter but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this podcast. I learned a lot about shooting from listening to one episode.

If you are a competitive shooter, I don’t think you will find a better show.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Season 5, Episode 24: Tyler Johnson, Part 2
Q: What gear choices did you prioritize given the limited prep time and the match demands?
We leaned on modular gun platforms, a mix of night and day optics, and observation tools we could trust across stages. The rifles were intentionally configured for reliability and speed, with gear like night-vision and ranging binos to cover both daytime and nighttime tasks, while ensuring the interface between shooter and spotter remained tight.
Season 5, Episode 24: Tyler Johnson, Part 2
Q: How much time did you have to train as a team for the ISC, and how did that affect your approach?
We had only about two days as a formal team training block, plus informal range work and individual preparation. That limited any real staged practice, so we focused on quick, high-leverage debriefs, strong communication discipline, and rehearsing minimal viable stage plans to maximize our chances.
Season 5, Episode 20: Josh Morgan
Q: What is a food you'll never grow tired of?
Spam Musa B, a Spam-topped sushi roll popular in Hawaii, which Josh loves but cannot easily find in Pennsylvania.
Season 5, Episode 20: Josh Morgan
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Flying would let him reach matches more cheaply and with less time away, enabling more competition and travel.
Season 5, Episode 20: Josh Morgan
Q: Going back to when you got into the shooting sports, and thinking like Neo of The Matrix, if there was one skill you could learn instantly, what would it be?
Josh would choose shot calling first, to know exactly where his rounds are going based on his sights, which would have amplified his consistency much earlier in his career.
