Kia Ora and welcome to my podcast. I'm a 'kiwi' living in the USA and have created a podcast to connect us across the globe. Everyone has a story to tell, and through stories we find human connection. This is my goal. Real stories, real connections.

Edit: I’m so sorry about your dad! It made me cry, that story. But it made me so happy that he is probably in Heaven now, where depression doesn’t even exist. He’s watching you now, if you’re reading this, and will always. “And someday he will greet you with open arms...” Virtual hugs! ❤️
When we hear others’ stories, we just naturally love them more even if they have different perspectives or ideas than you. This podcast focuses on each person and their personal journey. Let’s up our compassion game and chill on the vitriol. Also, I love Melissa’s accent!!!
Good perspective of a kiwi overseas
Such a fun host!
Excited for more to come!
Loved listening to this podcast, can’t wait for more episodes to hear the stories that will be shared. Melissa (the Candid Kiwi) is one of the smartest, funniest women I know and the podcast reflects that. And if nothing else, you get to listen to a lovely Kiwi accent for 20 minutes, so it’s a win-win!
Melissa is a powerful teacher and student of the human experience. Because she knows who she is, she's comfortable exploring who others are. What better way to create meaning and hope in our world than by connecting us to a more complete, nuanced way of seeing each other through our stories. I'm looking forward to seeing this grow and being inspired to create more connection through her proactive example.
Love the podcast and the candidness Melissa shares. It is hard to open up to the world, especially in some societies, and share personal journeys.
What a great idea to share journeys of various people. Interestingly, I’ve asked hundreds of women what their favorite decade has been and the 40’s are a resounding favorite. I’ve been told it is because women feel like they have a new freedom to become themselves. Congrats on your journey and keep sharing those stories to connect.
