There is so much BS and tribalism when it comes to Liverpool and the politics of the 1980s which still lives in today. This cuts through it. If you want a fair balanced picture of what actually happened then this is it.
However there is a factual error. Council Tax is only paid by property owners like the rates. It was the failed community charge (“Poll Tax”) that was expected to be paid by all.
A great unique story of the British political history, very well presented and told.
