  • I have had to reevaluate this as a previous supporter. The Breach is undermining it's credibility by failing to fact check itself. The episode reviewing 2025 has completely failed to report who is the Minister of Agriculture in Canada (isn't Kody Blois, it's Heath Macdonald). And what the heck are they referring to about increasing numbers of animals slaughtered? I'm calling bull and a lack of basis is reality. Seriously, why haven't they been fact checking their episodes?

  • Finally, straightforward trustworthy politics podcast

I appreciate the Breach on so many levels; the way it doesn’t expect the listeners to know all the jargon and personalities in Canadian politics, that the speakers are honest about their biases and affiliations, and that it’s concise, and to the point.

I feels like the host & guests speak to their audience respectfully because they really want to inform us vs. some shows that make it feel like I need to work at keeping up with the speakers insider knowledge.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Canada and India’s toxic middle power alliance
Q: Can Canada push India on these issues without sacrificing the trade relationship?
Yes, but it requires clear, sustained pressure and the willingness to align diplomacy with concrete actions, as seen when Trudeau pressed New Delhi on extraterritorial killings.
Canada and India’s toxic middle power alliance
Q: Do you think there is a different way that this could be playing out, Saima?
There could be a path where Canada pursues a strong trading relationship with India while actively pressuring them on human rights and minority protections, balancing economic interests with accountability.
Why are thousands marching for military intervention against Iran?
Q: What do you think is the responsibility of the Canadian government in response to the violence in Iran?
While Canada has taken some steps such as sanctions, it has not positioned itself effectively as a real player in addressing these issues, and its government should actively oppose any escalation instead of posturing for political gain.
Why are thousands marching for military intervention against Iran?
Q: What sets this round of protests apart from the previous uprisings that we have seen in Iran over the last couple of decades?
This round of protests is characterized by a complete loss of faith in internal reforms within the Islamic Republic, and entails broader demands for the end of the regime, spurred by severe economic hardship and systematic violence.
ICE terror is a warning for Canada
Q: Is there any serious hope in this moment regarding reviewing the agreement (Safe Third Country Agreement)?
There is hope for awareness regarding migration policy and a critical demand to review and scrap the agreement, especially as conditions for asylum seekers in the U.S. become increasingly unsafe.
