I like this podcast a lot but they do really gross and sketchy stuff with ads.
There’s no indication that the story will be interrupted, and it sure will be, several times each episode. The shift is incredibly hard to tell if your attention wanders because Alex narrates all the ads.
They start out not to bad, but eventually your story will be interrupted with Alex calmly and cheerfully explaining that people are waiting to “rob you blind” if you don’t buy a ring camera.

Season one of this podcast is fantastic. Then it tails off, hard, culminating in a painfully bad ending which ties up no loose ends and leaves you desperately wanting to get back all the time you spent on seasons 2 & 3
