More advertisement than content. It literally starts off, like all this creator's content does, "if you like this show donate on patreon!" It's the first thing you hear in episode 1. I had not even heard the show yet.
Having gotten last THAT, the story starts off strong, engagingly atmospheric, but... 2 minutes in (or so it felt like), there's another ad.

I’ve been waiting ages for the continuation and feel like after listening to this around a dozen times, I would care less about the actual ending. No. Still and always will be waiting… The Black Tapes specifically is my favorite of the PNWS series. I really enjoy the story even with some unfortunate plot holes and forgotten storylines. I think the overall product is great and unique and since it came out, I have not found an audio drama podcast I have enjoyed more. Does that summarize my feeling... more
I’m pretty sure that we’re supposed to assume that they ran away together, and the show’s creators said that they finished it, but I would have liked if they brought Nic in to explain what happened.
but the voice actors r incredibly cringy oh my gosh. especially alex reagan. I started this thinking it was real but very quickly realized it absolutely cannot be bc of her. I’m only finishing it bc I’m not a quitter but I don’t have any high expectations at all.
