Toby is hilarious let me say that it’s the voice for me! I love every episode but this one is probably my favorite so far because it keeps me entertained at work and laughing. I wish I didn’t have to deal with the 10 minute ads though that’s a little frustrating, If I could pay to bypass them I would.
I just started listening to Undertow and wanted to start at the beginning. I enjoyed season 1 but also felt like towards the end I got confused and I could have been I missed some key points, but season 2 just…OMG, the worst. Eva was insufferable. But the entire season would have been easily solved with communication. 99% of everything would have been solved if everyone effectively communicated. It was so hard to get through each and every episode. And when you think it’s going to get good it do... more
I love realm and the shows they put out the audio is amazing and the stories are great at well. I subscribed and pay out six bucks a month for what? To listen to ads? Isn’t the whole point of paying to listen to without ads? So disappointing. And now I’m thinking it is a waste of money thankfully I didnt out out the for the whole year. Someone should fix this or at least say that it’s not going to be ad free. Any other podcast you subscribe to usually means NO ads. I just want to listen withou... more
I’ve only listened to one season - Narcosis, but I wish the production values were higher. I feel like a lot of the potential in the story went to waste, which I’m guessing is due to budget constraints.
Overall it was a decent listen, but I wouldn’t recommend the series to anyone. There’s a countless number of other podcasts out there doing the exact same thing as Undertow, and I wouldn’t consider it a standout.
Hovering- great story well designed and overall well acted. I had to stop listening bc the voice of Toby is insufferable. With podcasts it’s all about what you hear and this voice actor is not it for this role. It literally sounds like a middle aged woman trying to do a high school aged male voice. Ugh.
