Undertow: Dark Tome

Realm
DramaFiction

UNDERTOW is an ongoing supernatural horror series that reveals the dark, monstrous side within us all. Every week, host and creator Fred Greenhalgh will take you deeper into this warped version of Maine where nothing is as it seems. Here, still waters hide eerie rip-currents and the secrets we keep from each other… and ourselves. No one can escape the Undertow. This month, travel to unexpected places with DARK TOME. What if there was a book that literally opened up doorways to other worlds? Where would it lead, and could you handle what you found on the other side? Cassie, a teen that's having trouble fitting in at school, is about to find out. One day, after she wraps up community service at a local hospital, she stumbles out of the basement of a spooky bookshop and into a story set on a devil's staircase in a remote Italian village. Undertow: Dark Tome is a Realm production created by Fred Greenhalgh. Listen away. For more shows like this, visit Realm.fm

  • Easy to be entranced

Love love love everything about all of this. It’s so easy to dive into this expansive world. My only qualm or confusion is why Undertow is posting the same episodes Dark Tome already has. I’m a little bummed to wait for legit new episodes.

  • Season 3 review

Listened to The Dark Tome before when it was its own separate podcast. It has been a while so I started a replay. The character of Mr Gussy is so very hard to listen to. It’s the accent and I tend to zone out and not pay attention to him so I can get through the episodes. Cassie is a much better character and the short stories are amazing.

  • Good Story Turns PC

Story has been great so far and the local lore is interesting. The background and character development is pretty good too. Wish I could leave a higher review with how good the story is, but I can’t in good conscience. My thoughts were confirmed on episode 8 when it is announced that KT is not a woman or a man - apparently… I’ll leave it at that. Also, the adds for Realm during season 2 promote a new SJW podcast. The Becka bully is pretty superficial in development.

  • Great show

I’ve really enjoyed both seasons. Only issue I’ve run into is Season 2, Episode 9. I’m unable to play it and am hoping it’ll be fixed soon so I can continue!!!
