I tend to stay away from similar podcasts because the writing (or maybe editing) quality, but this guy can really write. Even when just world building or fleshing out details, the writing and excellent narration pulls me in and keeps me engaged. If you like this podcast, check out the audiodrama Olive Hill which I believe is from the same creator.
I love the narrators, they easily draw in my engagement to the story.
(Some podcasts have great writing but it goes in one ear out the other)
The show features various writers, but the stories all feel somewhat similar in that they do a great job building characters and setting the scene….but it feels too much in proportion to the length of stories.

Atmospheric, story-driven horror fiction with a strong emphasis on narration and audio design. Episodes weave supernatural and occult themes with intimate character-driven tension, often blending eerie moods, mysterious premises, and surprising twists. Listeners tend to praise the storytelling craft, immersive soundscapes, and the performers' voices, while noting shifts in tone across seasons and occasional shifts toward more explicit content. This mix likely appeals to fans of slow-burn suspense, literary horror, and audio drama that foreground mood and craft over action, with a preference for high production values and thoughtful world-building.
