When it’s not just broken clocks repeating same old failed predictions with no evidence or anything else. It’s just single narrative no deep dive just worthless nonsense. Dave is saying same nonsense failed predictions he made here 3 plus years ago and never gets pushed on being wrong. Not helpful at all.

  • I can't stop talking about Snap Shot services after such an incredible experience. An intruder gained access to my email in May, and my data and Bitcoin wallet were exposed. As a result, I lost $560,000 in savings and operating business assets. It was insane! When a staff member brought up Snap Shot Recovery in the middle of my uncertainty, I got in touch with them right away. Fortunately, it only took a few days for them to restore my wallet, which I was unable to access, and, following own... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The FCC Collected $6,790. Then They Came for Bitcoin ATMs. | Paul Tarantino | Ep 272
Q: Why do you believe there is an ongoing attack on Bitcoin ATMs and self-custody rather than on traditional banks?
Because the ATM network embodies a direct peer-to-peer path that governments and incumbents may want to curb; enforcing strong compliance and transparent practices highlights the contrast with less regulated entry points like VoIP-based fraud, which regulators are slower to tackle.
The FCC Collected $6,790. Then They Came for Bitcoin ATMs. | Paul Tarantino | Ep 272
Q: Paul, where are we now compared to 18 months ago when you were on the show?
Fraud and cyber threats have increased, but Bitcoin ATMs have implemented live-voice fraud prevention, better KYC/AML protocols, and regulator engagement; the industry argues these measures substantially reduce fraud while preserving the peer-to-peer, cash-to-Bitcoin model.
Bitcoin Age, the Dollar Mind Trick & Why Gold is Old | Nik Bhatia @timevalueofbtc | EP271
Q: What should Bitcoin holders take away from Bitcoin Age about the dollar mind trick?
The takeaway is that the dollar is a mind trick that people use to transact today, and understanding the layering of money helps investors see both the benefits of the fiat system and the potential of Bitcoin as a non-counterparty asset that can hedge against fiat dilution.
Who Controls Bitcoin? 16 Years of Data and a 13-Year-Old Hard Drive | EP270 | @secsovereign
Q: What did you actually measure in your governance study, and what did you find?
I scanned IRC conversations, GitHub data (issues, pulls, reviews), emails, and other records to perform a quantitative governance analysis. I found evidence of an informal oligarchy around Bitcoin Core maintainers, with power concentrated among a small group, and I highlighted the lack of formal consensus specifications as a fundamental governance risk.
Peruvian Bull - 2026 Is Already Breaking Every Rule: Here's What Comes Next
Q: How real is the risk of a systemic collapse like The Great Taking?
The guest explains that while a total systemic collapse is unlikely, the framework exists for significant wealth transfer to institutions in extreme crises; policy tools exist, but they may not be exercised in full due to incentives to preserve the system, making the risk real but contained.
